$150.00 ea.
At Cocktails for a Cause, guests will enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and an open bar in the company of C&W Market owners Clarence and Wendy Weaver and the wonderful community volunteers, including Bryant Wallace and other Lighthouse Rotarians, who have been at the corner of Church and Dodge on Saturday mornings to distribute food to those in need.
At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, the Weavers began to address food
insecurity in Evanston by providing groceries to 30 families weekly. Each week the numbers grew. By
the end of 2020, C&W Market Foundation was serving 200 families a week. Today the Foundation not
only provides groceries to more than 200 families, but they also have a food pantry for families with
immediate needs. In addition, the Foundation is committed to workforce development for seniors and
young adults.
