Club Meeting: How a Career Grant Can Change a Life

As part of ELRC’s strategic plan and commitment to supporting Affordable Housing, the Professional Career Service Committee has since 2019 supported the residents of Reba Development Corporation by providing grants for career opportunities for low-income residents. Today, we will hear first-hand how these grants have changed their lives.

Keith Banks received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois, bringing over thirty years of experience serving in the financial services arena and performing upper-level management for major corporations. Keith served on numerous local community boards, acting in leadership positions from Treasurer to Board Chairman. Growing up on the south side of Chicago with a single mother, Keith is a passionate advocate for affordable housing, and serves his community as a Tax Consultant and an ordained Elder at Restoration Christian Fellowship. Keith and his wife, Reverend Rosemarie Banks, are residents of Evanston and raised their family here.
