Evanston Lighthouse Rotarians and an enthusiastic group of Justin Wynners shopped, cooked, served and cleaned up a summer evening meal for 100 guests.

On Thursday, July 24, Rotarians worked with students from the Justin Wynn Leadership Academy (JWLA) to prepare and serve dinner for 100 people at Evanston's First United Methodist Church.  Both groups regularly volunteer at soup kitchens, and this was the third time they served in partnership.  Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club has provided grants for the last three years to enable the JWLA students to volunteer at 6 soup kitchens per year.

JWLA develops leadership skills in youth through planning and implementing community service projects. JWLA is made up of 5th through 12th graders who have been selected by their elementary schools based on their qualities of sportsmanship, citizenship and leadership.
