Preserving our food independence is a matter of national security. Learn more about the local food supply chain being built out in the Upper Midwest and sold at Village Farmstand. Susan L. Stenander started her career at Arthur Andersen and later joined the Crown family office in 2003 as one of their first Analysts. She spent 13 years in their corporate development group, and Crown remains one of the nation’s largest single-family offices. Her tenure at Henry Crown & Company included oversight of various portfolio companies including Red Crown Productions. Today, Susan is independently producing a second food system documentary set to be released in 2023. Her foray into documentaries started with Last Man Fishing, which focused on the US seafood industry and followed her early investment in Sitka Salmon Shares. Susan advises family offices and various agricultural initiatives as a consultant. In addition, she is a Co-owner of Village Farmstand, a specialty grocery store located at 810 Dempster Street in Evanston.

Jun 27, 2023 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Please join your fellow Rotaryans on Tuesday, June 27th
for our annual event marking the transition from President Kathy Tate-Bradish and the outgoing board
to the incoming board, including the installation of our new president, Bryant Wallace.
The event will take place at the Sherman Plaza Hospitality Suite.
Doors will open at 4:30pm and the program will begin at 5pm.
Hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served.
The event will end by 6:30pm; see below for dinner options:
A lovely feature of the evening will be the opportunity to sign up for a spot on a "dine-around" list of local restaurants within walking distance of Sherman Plaza. Advanced reservations will be made and each restaurant group will be led by a member of the Club Service Committee. Those of you with memories of our Fellowship dinners in the pre-pandemic days can recall how much fun it is to sit down with 10-12 other members for a more intimate dining experience with your fellow Rotarians.
